The Challenge
We are looking for 2 skilled and safe tractor trailer drivers to transport cargo on trips in and out of North Carolina.
In this role you will:
⦁ Perform skilled and safe operation of a tractor trailer used for transporting cargo within NC.
⦁ Maintain the security and good condition of the load.
⦁ Perform extensive record keeping, route planning, and determination.
⦁ Load, unload, and transport cargo using a tractor trailer for distribution of inventory from the Central Inventory warehouse to all 100 NC counties.
⦁ Inspect cargo loads prior to departure for proper balance.
⦁ Deliver cargo in a timely manner.
⦁ Prepare and maintain records and reports of transportation operations.
⦁ Plan and select appropriate delivery routes.
⦁ Assist with the preparation and execution of our annual physical inventory count.
⦁ Complete special projects.
What You Bring
⦁ Experience driving a tractor trailer truck with cargo.
⦁ Commercial Driver's License. (Don't have it, still apply! You can get it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire.)
⦁ Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
⦁ Knowledge of ICC rules and regulations and defensive driving techniques.
⦁ Demonstrated ability to use safe methods of unloading and loading vehicles to secure proper and even load distribution.
⦁ Ability to service and provide minor vehicle and auxiliary equipment maintenance.
⦁ Ability to prepare and maintain records and reports of transportation operations.
Education & Experience
⦁ High School/GED diploma, or
⦁ A combination of education and experience.

⦁ You must possess necessary licenses/certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment.
