Westminster Title Agency , a Toll Brothers company, seeks an experienced Title Officer  for our office in Chantilly, Virginia.

What is the opportunity?

Title Officers read, examine and determine insurability of title to real estate while also supervising and/or producing commitments and policies of title insurance. They are responsible for managing and educating employees and developing and implementing title policies and procedures of Company. Also serve as main contact for title related questions/issues, and advise and assist staff as necessary in clearing title requirements or objections as to title and act as senior contact for staff support for title related questions.

What are the primary responsibilities?

• Read, examine and determine insurability of title to issue title insurance commitments and policies
• Produce title commitments and title policies
• Maintain necessary licenses and continuing education to perform duties and responsibilities of job successfully and professionally.
• Desire to grow professionally by working across multiple states with a growing copmany operating on a national footprint
• Direct, teach and inspire Title Assistants and Jr. Title Assistants to grow, learn and be successful

Does this describe you?

• Extensive title insurance experience and demonstrated underwriting abilities 
• Extensive knowledge of title and settlement industry practices, laws and regulations
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an organized manner and meet deadlines is necessary 
• Superior reasoning abilities and problem-solving skills as well as excellent mathematical skills
• Stress resistant personality and ability to deal with difficult and/or unhappy people    

Do you have these ?

• Essential:
  • Licensed title insurance producer
  • 2-5 years of previous related experience
• Preferred:
  • Experience searching property is very helpful
  • Experience in multiple Mid-Atlantic states is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years work related experience
