Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K-12).
• Experience teaching middle and high school students.
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies for students with autism and behavioral challenges.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals and other staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous experience in a self-contained classroom setting is preferred.

Location:
Reading, PA K-12 School

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
• Create engaging lesson plans aligned with curricular standards.
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support student learning and behavior.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding student development.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
