This role involves making key technical decisions and improvements to the system, as well as effectively making impact through influence within and across teams that span multiple time zones. What you’ll do Lead the development of new capabilities for the Postman API Network, driving both the frontend architecture and backend API development to improve user experience at scale. Architect and implement scalable, high-performance systems that enable rapid iteration and experimentation on core product features while maintaining system reliability. Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence across the team. Facilitate clear and effective communication within your team and across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and unblocking any challenges to achieve business goals. About You We’re looking for a skilled engineer who combines technical leadership with hands-on coding. Product and user-focused mindset. Moves fast in a fast-paced environment. Pragmatic problem solver. Expert in system architecture. Strong communication skills. Remote collaboration experience. Must have: 7+ years of experience writing production code and maintaining production systems. Deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud architectures. Track record of delivering high-impact, user-facing products. Passionate about mentoring and developing other engineers. Coding experience in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Strong experience in communicating across teams and aligning stakeholders. Experience working with remote and distributed teams across time zones. Located between ET and CET. Nice-to-have: Proficient with TypeScript. Experience working on scaling products. Experience working on developer tools. What Else?
