SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION  

Water & Environmental Technologies (WET) is an employee-owned, family-oriented consulting firm that provides high quality civil and environmental engineering services primarily in the Rocky Mountain region. WET is seeking a full-time Project Civil Engineer to support civil engineering projects in our headquarters office in Butte, Montana. The Project Civil Engineer must be self-motivated and able to independently apply fundamental engineering basics/design standards to contribute and/or lead project designs. This person will be required to apply their engineering experience to a variety of projects and effectively implement their knowledge into practical designs and working in a productive team environment. The successful applicant will work with Project Managers and design teams to prepare project deliverables and conduct project related technical reviews. Responsibilities will include engineering reports, design, quantity calculations, plan sheet development, construction administration and other project deliverables.

Project Types and Responsibilities

• Sanitary Sewer collection system design. 
• Stormwater treatment and storage. 
• Water system pumping facilities and distribution design. 
• Design of roads, parking lots, subdivisions, and site-developments.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil3D software to apply engineering standards of design.
• Ability to understand and assist in the preparation of construction plans and specifications. 
• Perform construction administration tasks such as project bidding, construction inspection/oversight, documentation of daily activities, materials testing, and interaction with contractors, subcontractors, project stakeholders, and others. 
• Review for quality assurance and quality control to ensure compliance with WET design and project standards.
• Convey design analysis and results effectively in written reports and documentation.
• Utilize effective written and oral communication. 
• Travel to WET job sites, and other WET offices, as necessary.
• Be safety conscious at all times. 

Qualifications  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University. 
• 3-10 years of similar engineering experience.
• If not licensed, the ability to obtain an EI certification within one year of employment. 
• Intermediate MS Office skills including, but not limited to, Word and Excel. 
• Intermediate AutoCAD Civil 3D skills. 
• Valid Montana Driver’s License and clean driving record required. 

Salary will be based on experience. WET offers a competitive benefit package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
