Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 2 to join our team at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital , located in New London, CT . This community-based hospital has an average daily census of 225 beds, and Sodexo supports both patient dining and retail food services onsite.


As the Patient Services Manager 2 , you will play a vital role in overseeing patient meal service operations, ensuring excellent customer service, quality food presentation, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will report to the Area General Manager and lead a team of approximately 25 frontline employees, driving performance through effective leadership, coaching, and staff engagement. This is an evening shift with rotating weekends .

What You'll Do


  • Oversee all aspects of patient meal services including bedside meal ordering and service delivery.

  • Conduct daily patient rounding to ensure satisfaction, gather feedback, and resolve concerns in real time.

  • Collaborate with culinary and retail teams to support a 7-day cafeteria operation, including a rotating entrée menu, salad bar, and grab-and-go offerings.

  • Provide leadership during evening shifts, generally working a schedule that starts between 11:00am – 12:00pm and concludes by 8:00pm (hours may vary per needs of business).

  • Partner closely with other Patient Service Managers
  • Support departmental initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational efficiency.

What You Bring


  • Prior experience in healthcare food service or hospitality management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient satisfaction.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.

  • Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements


Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
