Job Title: Roll-to-Roll Offset Pressman – Drent Press
Job Summary:
ProAmpac, a leader in flexible packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced Roll-to-Roll Offset Pressman to operate and maintain our Drent offset press at one of our high-volume manufacturing facilities. This position is critical to producing high-quality, visually consistent packaging for food, healthcare, and consumer goods customers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain a Drent roll-to-roll offset press, ensuring optimal print quality and minimal waste.
Read and interpret job tickets, color standards, and production specifications.
Monitor ink density, registration, and color consistency throughout production runs.
Perform routine press maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to avoid downtime.
Work closely with prepress and finishing departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Adhere to all safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications/Skills:
3+ years of experience operating a Drent or similar roll-to-roll offset press.
Strong understanding of offset lithography, color theory, and press calibration.
Ability to identify and resolve print quality issues quickly and effectively.
Familiarity with solvent- and water-based inks used in flexible packaging.
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
Certifications in 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma are a plus.
Comfortable using computerized press controls and production tracking systems.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced production floor with frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Exposure to printing inks, solvents, and pressroom noise.
Shift work may be required, including nights or weekends, based on production demand.
PPE provided and required for safety compliance.
