Job Description

For over 20 years, Progress Partners has helped lead the way in some of the most prominent mergers and acquisitions in industries being transformed by new technologies, in addition to raising the capital needed to launch dozens of leading digital businesses across the US.

We are seeking a Human Resources Director who will be responsible for aspects of HR function within the firm. You will be the go-to for all HR matters and will continue to define and enhance processes and functions with an entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to tackle multiple priorities.

This is a role for a true HR generalist. You will be in the driver’s seat of recruiting, training, onboarding, benefits administration, employment branding, talent, culture, internal events and much more. In this role, you will be working tightly with our partners to provide insights and coaching and to serve as a sounding board. This is a hybrid role where you can work one day a week from home, in addition, we will consider a 4-day work week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review HR policies and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws
  • Full cycle recruiting of all roles
  • Management and oversight of internship program
  • New hire orientation/onboarding and offboarding
  • Benefits and leave administration and management of vendor relationships
  • Support payroll administration and processing (bi-weekly payroll via BambooHR)
  • Coordination of visa application process for international employees
  • Manage and execute employee performance review process and career development program
  • Manage employee training programs and deploying skills-based training as needed
  • Employee relations and coaching

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high level of energy, positivity and people acumen
  • 5-10 years of HR experience, ideally in an entrepreneurial environment
  • A generalist mindset with the ability to pivot based on organizational needs
  • Strong emotional intelligenceand strength in team and relationship building
  • Excellentcommunication skillspaired with excellent listening skills and the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to self-motivate and complete and prioritize projects independently
  • Some investment banking experience is a plus
