We are hiring a Generator Technician for our client in Coastal, SC. As a Generator Technician, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain backup power systems for telecommunications, emergency services, and local businesses. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Shift InformationTravel across eastern South Carolina required; overnight stays as needed (per diem included)
General Requirements
DOT Medical Card required
Working knowledge of generator systems and their role in business operations
Ability to work independently and reliably
Compliance with company policies, goals, and asset protection
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending and twisting
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Flexible schedule with ability to travel and stay overnight
Pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirements
Maintain a professional appearance and clean, safe work environment
Computer literacy in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate basic shop equipment
Must be at least 25 years old
Essential Functions
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on commercial generators
Evaluate and recommend necessary repairs
Troubleshoot and diagnose generator systems
Provide excellent customer service
Stay updated on equipment model changes
Perform additional duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Field-based work across various customer sites in eastern South Carolina
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50lbs and perform bending and twisting motions throughout the day
Required Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years' previous experience
High school diploma or GED
Basic electrical knowledge required
