We are looking for an Entry Level Java Developer to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in enhancing front-end functionality and contributing to the modernization of legacy applications. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with foundational Java skills and a passion for developing user-centric solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance and modernize legacy applications, focusing primarily on front-end functionality.
• Develop and maintain efficient and scalable code using Java 8 or higher, along with frameworks such as Maven and Spring Boot.
• Utilize front-end technologies, including JavaScript, AJAX, and frameworks like React or Angular, to create responsive and dynamic web interfaces.
• Write and optimize database queries to support application functionality and ensure data integrity.
• Address and resolve production issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile Scrum practices to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Manage version control and code repository tasks using GitHub.
• Assist in API development and integration to support seamless communication between systems.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed features.
• Provide support for manual or automated QA testing as needed.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Java development or completion of a strong internship.
• Proficiency in Java 8 or higher, with hands-on experience in Maven and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including JavaScript, AJAX, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Ability to write efficient database queries and work with relational databases.
• Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as GitHub.
• Bonus: Experience with AS400 systems or QA testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address production issues effectively.
